About Us

Hello!

Choco Chili Divas is managed, maintained, authored, experimented and worked on by us - Sonia and Neha.

Both of us are 30 something, full time working professionals (Sonia works with Macmillan Publishers and Neha is a HR professional with Sportsfit by MS Dhoni) who have and will always have a very strong connection to food, especially because of our loving husbands who happen to be foodies.

Prithvi (Sonia's husband, further referred as PR in the blog) and Deep (Neha's husband, further referred as DC in the blog) have a wonderful appetite for good food - sweet and savory, that gives us the pleasure of working on new recipes and getting all the due appreciation too! (Please ignore the tiny paunches that our better halves now sport)

We are cooking, getting more interested into food styling and food photography and enjoying every bit of it. Our inspirations have been everyone from Gary Mehigan, Martha Stewart, Kylie Kwong, Poh, George Calombaris, Donna Hay, Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay, Matt Moran, Marco Pierre White, Peter Kuruvita (to name a few)!

Recipes

The recipes have been cooked by us and approved by our friends / darling husbands before they have been posted on the blog. Though food and taste is a very personal choice, we would suggest you make adjustments in spices / ingredients as per your choice.

Food Photography

We use a Canon 600D SLR for our food photography with a 18 - 55 mm lens. Though there are macro / prime lenses available in market, we have not used the same, yet. For lighting, we prefer cooking in the mornings so that photographs can be clicked under natural light. We have not used light box / flash in any of our pictures.

Comments

Comments are welcome on our blog or our Choco Chili Divas Facebook Page. However, if the comment is rude / arrogant / mean or just adding a comment even though it does not add any value but your anger / spite against us, we may delete the comment.

Copying recipes

We have spent and researched a number of our favorite recipes and chefs and worked on the recipes tweeking them to our liking. If you like a recipe and want to blog about it, all we ask is to link it back to our recipe.
